My illustration for the "La poesia illustrata" contest, based on a poem by Franco Arminio from the collection "Resteranno i canti". This "illustrated poetry" was awarded the second prize of the 2021 contest edition.

Here's a clumsy translation:

Your body

is the best summary of the universe,

in your body there's the Milky Way

and the bones of ancient princesses,

your body cat, swallow, basket,

cathedral, rupestrian church,

your body nest

and open sky

Below, the sketch and a first version where the lightbeam was blue (and maybe I regret having changed it in red) and two more graphic versions in black and white that someday I may print on t-shirts and stuff.
